Enjoying Mother Earth ~ #Photography on #EarthDay

I love when I have the opportunity to drive and just take photos, stop wherever my heart desires and shoot. I really shoot have a sign on my van that says
{Photographer At Work}
for those wondering why this crazy lady keeps pulling over so much or why Im hoping the guardrail or sucking myself in as close as possible on the bridge haha 😉

The Photos are from the Saugeen River, some from the S. Saugeen River and others up by the bridges on Highway 6 and Highway 89 coming into Mount Forest at the south end of town. Some other shots are from the Odwyer Bridge on Minto Road 12, also of the field and horses which are at the yield sign off of Minto Road 12 (on 7 Bridges).

I had a blast and cannot wait for the flowers to start coming out. Next time I will take a tour the other way perhaps taking the back roads from my house out to 89 and then across out to 6 just before Kenilworth and then come back into town! Im really getting the urge for some macro photography once more flowers are in bloom! I am eagerly awaiting the fruit trees in our back yard – we think they are apple!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!

  1. I’ve thought of a sign like the one you mentioned because in order to take some of my nature pictures I lie down on the ground. I’ve had people stop to see if I’m okay, and a couple of months ago someone didn’t even bother to check first but called EMS. The things I endure for pictures.

    Your eighth picture appears to show bushy bluestem, one of my favorite grasses to photograph.

    1. I can’t wait for the wild flowers to come out! I love shooting macro too. The little was slightly harsh today, as I was out around noon, I find the light to be like this until it does warm up more. Haha yes I can imagine what people were thinking lol anyone around here would know how far they saw me but others I can just imagine 😉

  2. Hey, I see you were in the neighbourhood! I LOVE walking through there. The light is gorgeous. I have a ton of pix! It’s different every time I go through this time of year.
