Happy Fathers Day !

We celebrated my dad and hubby with my parents and siblings on Friday evening with a BBQ and family – SO much fun! No matter what we do when we get together we always have a blast. The dogs played, the kids had fun and we all chatted and enjoyed great food!

When hubby first became a father…

And again less than 18 months later…

I truly feel blessed that not only my children have a wonderful father, but that I grew up with someone who I looked up to and admired – my own dad. I certainly do not need a single day to tell them both how I feel and I am blessed that I not only get to see my dad quite a bit during the week at work we also socialize with them alot. I am so thankful we are close with my parents and do spend a lot of time with them.

As many people know both my hubby and dad are not ones who enjoy having their photos taken – that is going to be a mission for this summer is to get more of them 😉  This image was for both Grama and Granpa for Mothers and Fathers Day and the kids gave it to them on Friday night.

I love this quote for Hubby … he got this print, its also for both of us for mothers  and fathers day. Priceless…

Michael J. Fox on fatherhood and parkinson’s disease.

“It has taught me that there is not one moment that is frozen in time. There is no better example than to watch four kids grow up. For instance, I’m not feeling particularly steady right now, but this is not going to last for more than a couple of minutes. Same with raising kids. There are no moments you have frozen in amber. It’s moving, it’s changing, so appreciate what’s good about right now and be ready for what’s next.”

Brad Pitt on fatherhood

“Fatherhood is the best thing I ever did.  It changes your perspective.  You can write a book, you can make a movie, you can paint a painting, buthaving kids is really the most extraordinary thing I have taken on.”

Russell Crowe on unconditional love.

I cannot understand how I managed to cope without getting cuddled this many times a day.
