Slow and steady wins the race… and a little sunshine goes a long way!

Cleaning and decluttering are two very different things… more specifically paper clutter and kid clutter!

I love a clean and organized home. Although some days with two very busy kids, an active (chewing) puppy and two working parents the pile of things “I just put there until I had time to do what I should with it” becomes overwhelming!

For me just thinking about it oh so very mind consuming and overwhelming! But that end result… oh my !

All week at work I have idea after idea upon great thoughts of how we could do this that or the other, to return home at varying times all week and its like the plug has been pulled and all the wonderful energy for those ideas and thoughts has washed away! Many evenings already its dark by 6… what is that? Blah, blech winter weather. At least soon we will gain back an hour so that will help, but ultimately – a little sunshine goes a very long way especially when dealing with organizing and cleaning. At least when the sun is shining the kiddos and pup can get outside to play while the mama gets to work.

One day at a time, one thing at a time, one change at a time. Weekends without plans rock for these exact reasons. Baby steps… 😉 Any tips you want to share … I must also work at tackling the majorly disorganized laundry room… yes one day, one task, one room at a time!
