The true meaning of Christmas… Family!

The true meaning of Christmas has nothing to do with gifts and everything to do with family and loved ones.

I had the honor of photographing a past clients new baby, to celebrate Christmas 2012 as their own family with their extended family.

While editing their images my heart is so warm and full thinking of the instant love a parent feels the moment their child is put in their arms, their entire world has changed and will forever be changed. Life is no longer about the parents, it is about this precious little baby and the family you have created together.

Christmas is a time for family to come together and appreciate this time, appreciate all you have been blessed with and most important, for the kids!

I am so happy for my clients, I think over the years of our own children growing up, the photos I take of them on a daily, monthly and yearly basis and many of my favourites are with family and around the Christmas tree.

The tragedy in Connecticut, should not make us live in fear, but should make us truly live to the fullest extent! Life is so very precious. My heart truly goes out to the families who lost a child and family member that day, as a parent myself my heart is broken for those parents as my own children are the ages of many of them. Unfortunately a tragedy like this cannot be truly prepared for, however we can ensure that our children always know that they are loved by many, they are appreciated and they are our world.

Working on photos of this sweet baby as well as photos of my own children from things they LOVE – hockey and dance. I am so thankful for so much, so much to never ever take for granted!
