Life Is What Happens When You Are Busy Making Plans

If there is one thing in life my hubby and I have learned on this journey, its that life is what happens when you are busy making plans!

When we embarked on this whole home reno I was nervous, excited, optimistic, stressed but most of all keeping this vision in my mind of what we envisioned of creating our dream home. A lot of oils have been diffused, we’ve gained a new appreciation of meditation with quiet time and that we aren’t defined by the “stuff” or “things” in our life, but as who we are and who we want to be. The life we see ourselves living.

This past week and a half has been even more stressful, heavy and yet has provided us a new appreciation and outlook on life. Our sanity has been tested, our motivation lacking, emotions taken over and yet we are thankful as it could have been worse. Appreciative for the home and space we have, thankful its the summer while experiencing this shake up, thought invoking of what we could now do to make it even better in our forever home and trusting that within the next couple months we truly will be complete! 😉

Today our home begins to have part of it put back together. The part that was actually planned! For years we have been saving, planning and dreaming of what our perfect kitchen is and today it begins coming together! In the midst of this chaos there is a bright light, a deep sigh of relief, one we have been truly looking forward to since we moved here 6 years ago and one I have been dreaming of since we purchased our first home 13 years ago.

We may now be in reno mode for a little bit longer – however its going to turn out exactly as it was meant to be. ❤
