The most important work is…

It’s funny the things that make you giddy excited when you are an adult 😉

All summer we’ve been looking at various couches, pricing, fabric, location, layout etc. After the flood we had not just one sectional to replace, we had two.

Long story short, when we began the basement renos (the first time), we got rid of our old furniture upstairs and moved the basement furniture up. While working on the basement we bought a beautiful sectional (for downstairs) so got rid of the old basement furniture with plans of the sectional moving down and getting something new for upstairs when the upstairs reno was complete. When the basement was finished the couch moved down and we began going to work upstairs. Then the basement flooded and we were left with … a chair and small loveseat.

A couple weeks we both agreed on a couch and chair we both liked. With our to-do list in mind, we also agreed to just let it go and when the time was right the universe would tell us. I literally said this to my husband only a 1-2 night’s before.

On Friday morning I was working away and it hit me… go check out Grey’s – the third time is the charm!

You see we lucked out finding a beautiful sectional couch for our basement the first time I went about a month and a half ago. It is almost identical to the one I had been picturing in my mind that I wanted AND what we had legit been looking at and were going to buy only 3 days later 😉

Two weeks later I had a similar feeling to go check it out… found our two chairs for the bay window in the dining room. I knew I wanted 2 matching chairs that were stylish AND comfortable but would also not block our view! Total score – We all love them!

Last friday, I knew something special was there. 💞

They are almost identical to what we had picked out just last week! Local, amazing price and we could pick up the same day! Bonus… they are super comfy!

I fell asleep on that couch recliner Friday night. Having living room furniture again feels really good for the soul!

Thank you universe! The timing was impeccable!
