Grateful Mom | Raising Them Right

🤩 Mom Brag! 😍

Every day I am reminded how awesome these kids are!

This morning we bowled with Big Brothers and Sisters Bowl for Kids!

After bowling we did groceries and when we brought the food in, hubby said to Carson about helping put the groceries away. Not only did he put all the groceries away, he also re-organized the pantry and spice cupboard!

While grocery shopping Maddy loaded up on apples to make a big batch of apple crisp for the family for dessert. This evening she also helped Jaz make home made pizza dough for one of our Sunday appetizers!

Our kids are so much alike but also their own unique selves. I totally appreciated my boy’s help in putting all the groceries away and organizing the cupboards – truly makes my heart happy when things are organized! My girl, well she know’s the way to our heart through our stomachs lol! We am blessed she has the love of baking that her grama has and has learned from the best! The other night she even made us a mini apple crisp split between us out of 1 apple! She loves to bake and I am more like Carson, wanting things to be in order. Baking is messy. Especially with flour 🤣 but I’ve learned to let that go. Rather than say no you can’t bake, explain why I was feeling frustrated. Coming home to a messy kitchen. She 100% got it. The next time she had everything tidy and all dirty dishes together!

The best part though, something we both grew up with… many hands make light work! It’s so true! After Cars put the groceries away Mads emptied the dishwasher so I could load it and then later made her apple crisp creation! Team work as a family is so key! Feeling very grateful on this stormy Sunday evening! Big thanks to our amazing kiddos! 😘

Our mixed up menu tonight consisted of a variety of appetizers using up things in our fridge…

We had home made guacamole with green yogurt and avacados. Added outstanding flavour of Lemon, Litsea and Greek spice blend! With home made breaded zucchini sticks! Hubs found a cheese stick and marinara recipe using home made whole wheat pizza dough, some local wings in the Acti-fry and Mads made her famous apple crisp! So yummy and so full 😉

The kids also each both got their own laundry done as well! 🙌 Love empowering our kiddos!
