Is “Cancel Culture” Our Current Reality?

Tonight I read an article titled “Ontario Education Minister Accused of Scrubbing Social Media of Critical Comments“.

Not long ago we heard of Trump being censored, many people have a hatred for the man so from what I was hearing was it was “justified”. Now it has not only escalated to many people and groups being silenced and deleted from “popular” social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram… to now CHILDREN’S comments?!

Since Lecce recently announced a postponement of the March break to April, social media sites like Twitter and Instagram have had hundreds of users allege their comments have been scrubbed.

The censorship that has come into our lives as of lately, had me feeling not so confident at all with what government was allowing the “big tech” to do, some of them even commented that they were “working” with the government. Since when is it a social media site’s responsibility to ensure people do or say X, Y or Z?

Do you see what is happening? I know, some of you reading this will immediately say “she’s a conspiracy theorist”, which is your right to think whatever you want of me. Honestly though… is the government doing this for “our protection”, do they really care about our true needs, wants and desires or actually helping people be PROACTIVE at living a healthy lifestyle.

No.

Plain and simple no. The teen who was interviewed made a good point, at their age they WILL be voting in the next election. We have an education minister who, does he even have kids?! I know some will say what does that matter… well its pretty significant speaking from the experience of being a mother. Being a parent and knowing first hand raising children, their true needs for education, living a healthy life.

This however, is far from “cancel culture”, this is empowering the people, opening eyes to truths.

I love it when our kids now ask WHY? I love empowering them to find answers and be resourceful or the best, honestly… how do you FEEL about it?! What does your gut, or your intuition tell you.

I feel very confident in this generation we are helping to raise. They are very smart children who are learning the upmost importance of why it’s so crucial to stand your ground, to follow your heart and live in truth. No matter if the government (who, remember we pay…) has a “do as I say, not as I do” rule… that is not real life. That it not choosing to live in alignment.

As much as reading these articles infuriates me (also why we honestly do not purposely watch the news in our home), reading these types of articles on mainstream media… maybe they are finally going to show the truths of what our governments actually are.

Continue standing up kids and parents for our kids, question and know you are allowed to question, you are allowed to expect rationalized answers with actual proof, you are allowed to have your own fucking opinion!
