The Power of the Intuition

This evening I was reminded of the absolute power of our own intuition. I enjoyed a beautiful expansive break from “social” media this weekend, truthfully to immerse myself within MY own life.

Being the winter, its dark, alot of the time. Its easy to see those imperfections, whether us or our homes, and simply because we naturally are home more and typically this is the time of year people may feel a bit more fluffy. This weekend was exactly what I needed, and yet also so odd for completely different reasons.

This evening after work, during the time that I would normally come home and zone out scrolling “catching up” of what everyone else is doing in their lives, before getting into dinner etc. This evening, I felt a pull to open up Instagram, which was interesting, it was like a battle in my mind, literally saying to myself no I dont need to open it, to then hear, yes no more than 10 min max!

Almost instantly, I heard one thing that resonated with my heart and soul, about speaking what you want into your life in an uplifting way. That those hard times in life, yes we are obviously going to experience at some point, so how can you re-frame your words – our words are SO powerful!

The next thing I read, was a woman whose husband just had an accident and resulted in a break and then surgery. When I saw this last week, learning of the break, my heart instantly went out to her. What I read in her words this evening, hit my heart in a whole different way! Commenting that in times like these it would be easier to have a not so helpful husband or hands on, something like that. Which hit my soul, deep.

It was then I had such a beautiful realization.

Of how all of this pertains to my life, especially the past 3.5 years. After my husbands accident, yes it would have been easier on me if he was not such a hands on husband and dad, as well as a hard worker. Also where our lives cross, which I am very grateful for. Which also added another level of complexity, and healing, for me. Which also was re-igniting the fear and worry over the past almost 2 years Ive been supporting my son as well.

Healing is a very real thing and one thing that I am proud to be speaking of. Also proud to be pouring even more into me and my passions this year. Grateful for similar family interests to enjoy some awesome experiences all year round and purposely make time for fun. Also honoring my nervous system for the downtime that she needs.

For a while I was unsure if I would continue my blog/website, as I am very intentionally choosing me this year. Not spreading myself thin and honoring, MY Life As Art.

There will be a variety of things from life to photography to oils to mother or married life, there will be an option to buy your own oils in a self directed way.

As a lifestyle and nature photographer, I love expanding on this, for me. Me and my loved ones, which sometimes overflows. I learned many lifelessons back in 2011, all throughout the months of the year, one very important thing that came about was keeping photography for MY heart first, because then there would be overflow. Which I am truly grateful for now.

2024 is THE year to allow your heart to sing, to light that passionate fire within, to feel it in everything you do, whether relaxing at home, at work, walking, getting groceries, preparing dinner, laundry, etc. Find the true beautiful calm in all. Within your own space.
