I Can See

There are many challenges in life and one that I have been navigating for more than a handful of years is seeing properly. Ive had glasses since I was about 12 years old. I will never forget that day, leaving and looking around I actually said, does everyone see like this?

Fast Forward now almost 33 years later and its been a very real struggle for me. One that wasn’t actualized until I showed the clinic what I had to do to be able to see clearly – move my glasses up higher on my eyes. I was hesitant, however they assured me all would work out.

I picked up my new glasses on Monday and instantly could see, not just clearly, but clearly in the distance! Remarkable.

For so many years, I put up with this issue, having been told that the tests show the same numbers and my eye sight was not weakening. Not to use the word finally, however to finally be heard for exactly what I needed.

Its was like a brand new day for me. Sight IS life changing.

I came home and although a part of my world, still feels like turmoil and heaviness for me – being relieved of this was more significant than I had realized. Rather than being in overwhelm and the frustration of not being able to see properly, had been lifted – even amongst other “stuff”.

My evening flowed so beautifully, incredibly actually. I was alone in silence in the kitchen, previously when overwhelm would instantly take over there would be also residual feelings of whatever else… Not only did I make a wonderful dinner – from scratch, but I also got some work off my plate and was able to enjoy a new tv series I am watching and be in bed shortly after 9pm.

So this is my and your reminder, if there is something that just isn’t flowing well in your life, how can you shift that? Even if it means using your voice and speaking up for change!
