The winter provides the best time for rest, relaxation and to really come home to who you really are. I enjoy the downtime, I love getting out into nature forest bathing and when I align into me, is when I feel my absolute best.
Monday morning as I left for work, I noticed in the dim morning light, the trees were beautifully blanketed in a frosty snow. I snapped a couple quick ones with my phone and silently hoped the trees would stay blanketed until I got home.
A lot of things happen and I will never know the answer, I am however grateful when true desires of my heart align. This photo popped out at me, it also reminds me of the Lens-Artists Challenge this week – Shapes and Designs!
I pulled out my Canon EF 180mm f3.5L macro lens – I LOVE the reach and given that the tree branches were higher up, this was the go to lens! The results, incredible.
I love the macro close up of this evergreen tree and the design of the branches with the frosty snow.
The energy this week has been interesting, up, down, and all around. What I am consciously choosing to do is always put out love and peace into the world. What better way to do that, than with what I love, what is the best desire and passions within my life, photography. I feel like we are on the verge of an energy boost, an energetic re-balance. I welcome it, with open arms.
Feeling and healing my own emotions, allowing them to be what they need to be, to process or just be. Recognizing any energy leaks. Learning to put me first without guilt. Honoring the individual journey. Mutual respect and laughter. Fun and frolics.
Photography helps fill a void for me that in many ways will always be. I capture what I love and those I love. Images that I would want to look back on, in the moment and even posed. Deep gratitude for all memories, even through the pain of realizing for some this is where it ends. A life transition, I am still not ready for, navigating step by step, day by day. Healing. Healing without guilt of the process, which feels daunting and long some days.
Knowing the joy, comfort and creative boost photography brings me, I truly hope everyone has some kind of interest like that, whatever it may be. We all deserve it.
