Citrus & Grounding Essential Oils

From our experience Citrus Essential Oils are a key part of living our ADHD Life!

Citrus oils are naturally uplifting, welcoming, calming, invigorating and soothing. These oils are emotionally supportive with positive properties of feeling abundant, a sense of humor, playful, generous, spontaneous, creative, joyful, cheerful, fun, creative, fulfilled, lighthearted, optimistic, refreshed, inspired, manifesting, trust of inner voice, clarity, open to possibilities, engaged,cc determined, cleansing, releasing, focused, energfized, mental clarity, alert, rational, body acceptance, nourished, self acceptance, confident, lovable, hopeful and good enough.

The other day my son made up a new spray of “his blend”… Lemon, Spearmint and Tangerine. 3 oils he was naturally drawn to. It was his interest in Lemon almost 5 years ago that made me realize the connection between our emotions and the oils!

Lemon – The Oil of Focus – ‘The delightful citrusy aroma of Lemon oil engages the mind and aid concentration. While Lemon supports the emotional body, its major effects are experienced on the mental field. Lemon dispels confusion and bestows clarity. It counter balances mental fatigue due to too much studying or reading. Lemon restores energy, mental flexibility, and the drive to complete a project. (emotions and essential oils)

Spearmint – The Oil of Confident Speech – ‘Spearmint inspires clarity of thought and confident verbal expression. Individuals in need of spearmint may hide their thoughts, opinions and ideas by withholding their voices. Spearmint encourages inner clarity about one’s personal convictions and opinons. It then assists individuals in translating that inner clarity into words.’ (emotions and essential oils)

Tangerine – The Oil of Cheer & Creativity – ‘Tangerine’s strong qualities of cheer and joyfulness can lift the darkest of moods. It can assist those who feel cut off from the lightness of heart often manifested by children. Those who feel overburdended by responsibility would benefit from Tangerine’s uplifting vibration. It encourages a person to be creative and spontaneous.’ (emotions and essential oils)

The new Citrus Bloom blend that was just released yesterday, I can see being a new fav blend for our household in the main living areas! I am SO excited to try it!

From our experience we have found we use more citrus and grounding oils within our household and less of the floral diffuser oils. Those one’s last us a while… Lavender, Geranium, Ylang Ylang… The floral ones we use occasionally are Rose and Jasmine touch rollers those are ones we have available and will use a swipe here and there. Especially over the heart. I especially love Neroli and Magnolia. I find they have a light floral scent, almost floral citrus. Just beautiful.

We have found our sleep to be more restful when we combine citrus with grounding oils such as Frankincense, Cedarwood, Balance, Vetiver.
