As I sit here typing, cuddled up on the couch, fresh out of the shower, with a castor oil pack on. Listening to my laundry. Remembering, after the washing, comes the next step and Im not sure why it can feel so challenging. Hanging clothes to dry, collecting from the dryer, but the most challenging, putting them away ;) Soon I will be at the hanging to dry stage, perhaps I should throw a walking meditation in my ears and listing to that when I am putting the laundry away.
I am looking for, no being reunited with past modalities I used to use all the time, daily even. To calm the mind, grief is an interesting thing, especially when multi level. All of these things that used to help me, why do they get forgot when the mind hits what feels like chaos. Ive also noticed, I am at that stage in life where Im in perimenopause and, well that with grief is interesting.
One thing that brings me such deep peace, an instant reconnect with the earth. The apple blossoms on the apple tree in our back yard. I look forward to this tree blooming, this means, Spring has arrived. It feels special, there were 2 trees here when we moved here, this one is old but strong and hardy! We plan to do more fruit trees, yes specifically for me and my photography, they are fantastic to photograph and will attract in all the bees, birds, butterflies!
Actually, if you are reading this and have any good suggestions for what blossoms would be best for this, please do share in the comments! I am enjoying still being in winter now, once the snow begins to melt, its a countdown to a dry spring ;)
The photos I chose to share for Terri’s The Flower Hour #19 are, some of my favourites – Apple Blossoms!
I love that blossoms, bloom in their own individual time, some are all open big and bright, others are tightly intertwined within themselves. All are beautiful <3
