Love this view across the street from our home. A gorgeous field and with the beautiful snow falling, it was such a soft, cold and yet cozy feeling. A gorgeous fall, into winter, farmscaoe!
Saturday Morning Snowfall
This past Saturday morning we woke up to a blanket of snow. I could have sworn it was Christmas! So beautiful, flakes of white snow falling gently. The kids and dog loved it! Outside before hockey building snowmen and playing to their hearts content, all while the snow was still falling! A little early for my liking, however just as beautiful! I was thankful to see the grass again today ;)
A perfect blend
Our sweet babe’s are very much the perfect blend of my husband and I.
So perfect in fact that they have many qualities of some very special family members as well.
So many frustrating moments, I cannot help but laugh at what we put our parents through and how in years down the road, the stories that our kids tell us now of one day growing up and being parents just like mommy and daddy, that our kids will be thinking the same thing…
Kids can bring out your best, and sometimes, your worst qualities. Its much like looking in a tiny mirror while you watch your child folding their arms, sticking out their tongue and eye rolling, or waiting until you are at 2 3/4 hoping they just do what you’ve asked so you don’t have to remember they cannot do whatever the next day.
A perfect blend, of my husband and I. That continues to grow and develop over many more years to come… how somewhat scary that is and yet exciting all the same.
The perfect blend of us, two littles who gave our lire a whole new meaning and continue everyday to make us better people (and parents).
My favourite people
I love my husband, I love my family, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, friends, pets…
but most of all…
I love these two people the absolute, without a doubt, most.
Parenting isn’t easy, there are a lot of times I question myself, my choices and think I should do better. More times than I could count. For these little guys though it’s so worth it. I don’t deny I need my own time outs the odd days, ok some even ones too.
I know I’ll make more ‘mistakes’ as a mommy, but we’ll get through.
What truly matters is that we are all happy and healthy together.
Moments like these, enjoyed, lived and captured. Regardless of who is looking where, what we are wearing or where we are. Its real life.
It’s my life with these littles and I love every bit of them!!!
Mommy moments… hockey and music with my lil ones
A fun evening with my littles and mom! A moment captured by mom… thanks! :)
Happy Thanksgiving ~ Feeling so very blessed <3
With each passing thanksgiving, much like each passing day, we are even more thankful for our loved ones in our lives. This year, although we are not extremely religious people we have had to say our share of prayers, thankfully those prayers have been heard and my husband’s father, my father in law is feeling much better with his treatments. Not even 2 months ago we heard news you never wants to hear… Cancer. For my husband this was twice as hard having lost his mother to her battle with Cancer just 9 years ago :( , even harder for him that it was 2mths before our wedding.
Once again, a reminder within our lives that life is too short and to completely cherish the time with your loved ones.
Thank god we do.
I am SO thankful for all our family and friends, I am also thankful for the photos I am known for taking. A very special project involving one set of my wonderful aunts and uncles of photos from when they were dating up until recently, to celebrate their 25th Anniversary! <3 Another small reminder of just how much I cherish those photographs and need to capture them digitally to ensure we have them forever!
Today, we had a day to relax around our home, exactly what we all needed. I took a moment to myself and went on a drive to capture some of the beauty within our community. I truly do feel blessed to live where we do, in a small community, yet it has everything we truly need, including amazing scenery and wildlife.
Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours.
Although we all face our battles in life, our own challenges or struggles, when you stop for a moment and take a look around,
its all worth it and what really matters is right here in our hearts. <3
A Dogs Life
a photo by {Pamela Zmija Photography} on Flickr.
A friend from high school had to make a very tough decision, for her dog. A decision I had to make 2 years ago for my old man. Before we got two of these labs…
Her sad moments reminded me of not only my sad tears for my Elwood, but also for our girl Hazel who’s life was tragically cut way to short this summer.
Our dogs are very much a part of our life, a part of our family. Their personalities are unique and our family wouldn’t be complete without them.
While going through photos to choose to print to fill the empty frames I hung last weekend in our home, this one was a must, especially with this quote. Hazel certainly was “the life of the party” and we will always miss her.
Hug your pets – they love you more than you could ever know… :’)
For the love of the game… our little hockey stars!
This year the lil lady decided to join her brother in his favourite sport… HOCKEY!
The two of them are just blowing us away at how they are excelling in their skating and hockey skills, the boy especially!
Not a photographers child at all LOL ;)

The kids coaches are awesome! They push the kids – but in a very effective way that the kids respect them.
I LOVE this pic of Carson and his best bud Dylan.

I am looking forward to our winter this year. Its busy with 3 hockey teams, however its going to be fun!!!
As a family we decided the kids would only do one sport this winter, taking both them and us into consideration. With both being in school, having homework/projects (Crazy! I actually found it quite interesting helping Cars with his project on His Heritage and Family!!!), us both working full time and both volunteering a lot of time for the Patriots we were all happy with the decision! This year for us is all about living, loving, laughing and within all… simplifying!
Any family interested in watching them, drop us a line and we’ll let you know the times!
Saugeen Shores Pumpkinfest Photography Contest… 2 first places & a third!!!

Last year I was pretty darn excited for winning 2nd place for this photo below. I seriously LOVE this photo.
This year I almost have no words… I have received 2 – 1st place photograph’s and 1 – 3rd place photograph!!!
My 3rd place photograph – Early Evening Sunset

My 1st place Photograph in Nature/Water – Geese Family Walk On The Beach

This one just might be my ultimate favourite of the year… especially because its of my kids and all I simply said to them is put your arms around each others shoulders… it turned out amazing and I teared up hearing this was one of my 1st place photos!

I am so very proud. So very proud that I have put my love and energy back into photography for me and I can feel my passion is back, its alive, its on fire! I am excited for not only this photography contest next year but also the one our camera club is organizing with a camera club in Australia!!!
Set goals, have a passion, succeed ! SO proud :)
A brand new day, just like a flower in bloom
