Sunshine, Water + Beautiful Scenery || Mount Forest Photographer

This afternoon my family and I took our boat out to a local lake not far from us. I captured some of the beauty we enjoyed this afternoon.

This is my daughters favourite… she loved seeing the sparkles on the water!

We’ve been quite busy with moving day coming up very fast! I am quite excited about this upcoming move and that we’ve found a local teen for casual babysitting for the kids – bonus shes quite close to our new place!

I do still have a couple openings in July/Aug and into the fall in September and October. If you would like to book any type of Photography session please drop me an email or give me a call. I am not available for any July/Aug last minute weddings, however I do have an opening in October & November (have one booked for September right now :) ! ).

Calling All Photographers in the Mount Forest Area…

Tonight is our first meeting for June – we are now doing two meetings a month 2nd and 4th Thursday at 730pm and the location is at the Faith Baptist Church in Mount Forest (corner of King Street and London Road).

Whether you are just getting into photography with a point and shoot or have just purchased your first DSLR or are a hobbyist, semi-pro or professional. This Photography Club is about bringing people together who all enjoy Photography – of all kinds!

This month we are opening up our discussion to plan the next coming months and possible begin to plan next year. Our blog is Mount Forest Photography Club Blog and also has details of the meeting tonight. Some of the things we have to discuss are various tutorials, lessons, photo walks, monthly challenges, scavenger photo hunt, equipment, techniques etc…

Feel free to bring out your equipment, questions, interest and enthusiasm!

A blog post is not complete without a photo… as many of you know my own personal interest, passion (ok slight hobby/obsessed lol) blossomed after our children were born, I personally have put a lot of time into learning what I enjoy about photography and although I have taken on clients I do also use this blog to showcase my photography in general… which many of it includes these beautiful babies who truly are my inspiration and reason for my deep love of photography! Capturing memories and turning them into treasures! Without further ado… my babes watching the storm :)

A Simple Location… A Breathtaking Collection || Mount Forest Photographer

A very simple location… can turn into a breathtaking (priceless + treasured) Photo Collection!

My website is not only to display any work I do for clients, its also to showcase my work I do of my own family, especially my children who are my true inspiration behind my photography <3

This is a proof of a canvas collection – 16×24, 36×24, 16×24

A few more from this session

Just take a moment… || Mount Forest Family Photographer

Just take a moment.

Think about those in your life and how you feel about them. How would your life be if they were gone. What would that do to you. Where would you turn for comfort. When would you even begin to truly miss them and what they were to you.

Why… is what you will ask yourself as to where all your memories are…

Sure we all have many memories in our head we can think of and daydream about, however when that person is gone, that is when we truly begin to miss so much more about that person than we ever thought we loved them for.

Having the personal experience myself of losing my mother in law just 2 months before our wedding and then not even a year later losing my dads best friend who was like a 2nd father to me, then my grandfather just a few months later and since that year some other loved ones. It wasn’t until we lost my mother in law, my husband lost his MOM, that it really hit us that sure we have memories of her in our hearts but we didn’t have one photo of HER + US together…

Since our wedding and then the birth of our children, my passion for art and photography has been re-ignited. Even my husband and father who are not camera people at all… have succumbed to my desire for our precious family memories to be captured at any moment I can.

It is unfortunate but you just never know. And trust me when that time comes, its much too late.

I happened across this blog today from another photographer on Facebook that truly reminded me of this…

I may take a LOT of photos… however I am determined to capture any and all memories I can for our family.

Although this is a selfless post, a post to remind my own family, friends and clients to take the time to take the photos. Whether you hire me or an associate to photograph your family, please do remember to take those daily photos – perfect or not, one day they truly will be a treasure!~

6 Month Old Lil Lady Storyboard || Mount Forest Photographer

This lil lady came back to have these portraits taken of her for a 6 month series her grandma requested to match a very similar series they had of their first grand daughter when she was the same age.

This story board is sized at 15×30 however can be sized in a variety of options depending on what you are looking for. This is a great way to display photos from your session and have them professionally printed to last a lifetime!

Wellington North Community, Visitors, Business 2011 || Mount Forest Photographer

I was very humbled when I received a call from Crystal for last years Community Guide asking if they could use one of my photos for the cover. I am a small town girl who adores being back in my home town raising my own family, so of course I said yes!

With the deadline fast approaching,  I was asked to provide a landscape shot for this years cover of the Community Guide, once again I was very humbled. Not only am I a parent raising her family in our community, I am a home owner, business owner and I work daily in my family business which has been in our community for over 60 years! (http://www.jjmclellan.ca/).

Crystal and team I am quite honored you chose my image for the cover of a guide that so beautifully promotes our community and everything we have to offer.

The new guide isn’t up yet, however you can check out last years guide until this years is live. http://www.wnguide.ca/
