All Mine {My Family}

These photos I truly cherish, my children are what truly blossomed my long-time enjoyment of photography into my true passion! Since having our children I have realized just how fast life goes, changes and how memories can fade… which is why with all the (yes thousands) of photos I have I just have to look at the photo and all the memories come rushing back to me… I do try to take a family photo of us a few times a year, its amazing to see even within the year just how much the kids change – and now with our new puppy… just how much he will change to!

Children really do love & appreciate family memories…

I got a message from a client & friend… she told me her son goes past their family photo every day and says how much he loves it! He said to her yesterday

“we are so lucky to know some one so talented mom that she can even make our crazy family look good!!!”

THIS is why I love photography! ♥ Its about making family memories frozen in time to be treasured for many years to come! This TOTALLY made my day ♥ Pamela Zmija Photography

This is a photo from Thanksgiving weekend with my own family. My children are not looking at the camera however the emotion I captured is exactly what I was going for! I have more photos of them to come… Once I get through more of my client sessions from this weekend :)

For me my inspiration for my photography is my family. One thing that will always weigh on my heart is that when my mother-in-law passed away just 2 months before our wedding, it was then I realized we didn’t have any photos of her with my husband and I. Thankfully we do have photos of her which we share with our children so they can “know” their Grama Zmija, as it was to be just 2 months to our wedding and we would have countless photos with her… unfortunately that moment did not happen.

Live in the now, capture those memories, treasure them forever, share these moments with your children – after all THIS is how they will remember their childhood and show their children one day. Also why I have a deep passion for lifestyle photography allowing the true personality to shine through and kids be kids ;)
Also on the Thanksgiving weekend we attended a “McLellan Family Reunion”… something we haven’t done in many years! It was fabulous reconnecting with familiar faces, to see all the kids playing together and just enjoying the afternoon as one big family!

Here is a group shot of all of us there :)

This photo – although it was difficult to get everyone to get in order and stay in place (lol working with family ;) ). It will be treasured by all of us for many years to come!

NEW Photography Collections coming || Mount Forest Photographer

I will be revamping what I am currently offering for my sessions and begin offering Photography Collections in 2012!

As many of you know I take great pride in my work and personally hand edit each and every photo that you receive from my sessions.

I have chosen to offer digital files to my clients simply because I personally know and feel the value a photograph holds – printed or not. This is the very reason my Photography Passion began. A photograph is a moment which is now forever frozen in time and captured not only in memory but also to always look back at.

Knowing the true value and feeling a photograph holds I want to ensure my clients are printing their photos from their sessions with me and displaying their beautiful art in their home – your life and your family ARE art! Art to be very proud of when captured in a photograph.

I plan to have have a few variety of collections available which will include the session, digital files and prints. The prints I will be offering will be 8×10 and up, prints which would be displayed in your home on the walls.

The Photo Prints are mounted on a 2mm Styrene which is a plastic mounting board 2mm thick. The print has a Lustre Coating which is an environmentally safe, waterbased coating that provides protection and a slightly matte appearance to your prints.
Watch for my ~NEW~ Packages coming for 2012!

I look forward to capturing Your Life As Art!

Puppy Paws || Mount Forest Photographer

As many of you will remember, just 2 days after we moved into our new house we had to put our beloved family dog to rest, he was 12.5 and was such a good family dog and for many years my best friend.
Yesterday was a hard day for me, driving out in the afternoon to pick up our new man was so bittersweet to me and to be totally honest, I drove in tears. Although my parents have always had dogs, they’ve been family dogs and Ive always loved them, Elwood was MY dog, MY boy. As I got closer, I was more at peace. See yesterday was also 2 months exactly to when we said good bye to Elwood…
So I go in, go through all the paperwork, and then she brought him in, INSTANT love. Instantly everything felt right. Our family has missed Elwood deeply, missed him as a companion, missed having a dog – as he was always a part of our family. Our kids have never known our family household without a dog. However at the same time the way they handled his death was amazing. They know he is up in Heaven with Grama Zmija and Beau, Cars has also told me he’s felt him beside him. We had many signs leading up to getting Mr Becker, that has also reassured me that, this was right. This is what Elwood wanted.
So without further adu… our new lil man BECKER!

We are all looking forward to watching him grow and enjoying him being a part of our family… well I guess not exactly all of us just yet, the cat is still undecided at this point lol however she isn’t hissing as much, all while he couldn’t really care what she did.
Im sure there will be LOTS more photos of this lil man :)
