Last Spring I helped bring together a local group of photographers ranging from very beginners to hobbyists to professionals also shooting with point and shoot, entry level DSLR’s, pro-sumer DSLR’s and pro DSLR’s also ranging in ages. I have had so much fun meeting these people and sharing our own likes, dislikes, equipment, techniques etc. This past meeting was an absolute blast with lots of laughs as well as camera talk :)


The theme which was decided at the January meeting was – Abandon… and the objective was for the photographer to take that word and put their own spin on how they could describe it.

My Little Cinderella || Mount Forest Photographer

Well my sweet little lady spilled a LOT of cracker crumbs, so she had to clean it up. I got the vacuum out, she thanked me and got right to work – yes this photo might be used in later years as proof that she did love to clean… upon a time. 


Family Day Snap’s || Mount Forest Family Photographer

My family and I have been having quite an enjoyable long weekend – a very big Happy Family Day from our family to yours… Saturday and this morning we took our kids skating. They loved it, but of course being little don’t skate the entire time lol it was fun to give mommy and daddy some time to skate on our own as well as with Grama & Auntie Erin who joined us all today!

My son is so cute, when he saw me going through the photos he said to me… mommy you were ON the ice when you took this right, Yes, hmmm you were ON the ice AND holding your camera taking pics LOL the kid cracks me up he knows next to them, my camera’s are my babies ;) Today I broke out the 40D and just threw my nifty fifty on … yes I was scared of falling – couldn’t take my other camera & lens!

Small town SNOW FUN! || Mount Forest Photographer

Family fun photographs in the snow! Living in small town Mount Forest we’ve always been lucky to get some decent snow hills for tobogganing. Being a photographer from small town Mount Forest I can not only walk through 2-3′ feet of snow with my camera equipment… but also carrying a toddler to a better location where the snow isn’t as deep or better for tobogganing and thus photographing them ;)

Pets are part of the family too! 
My clients are more than welcome to bring their pets with them for their photography session  Especially dogs… they photograph well!

I photograph all kinds of babies – today… puppies! || Mount Forest Photographer

Today my family and I went to meet these beautiful baby chocolate labs – was an added bonus that there was also some baby goldens right beside them! My kids were very unsure of these tiny little creatures at first but eventually warmed up!

Although I would rather not think of the day our family will be getting a new pup… I know that day will come, our old man is getting older and he is showing his age. After visiting the Cooperslane Kennel today, I know this is where we will be getting our next fur baby from!

Spring Photography || Mount Forest & Area

After the big storm yesterday it was so refreshing to see the warm sunshine today. Although it was still cold out… feeling the warmth of the sun got me very excited for some Spring Photography – Maternity, Newborn, Children, Couples and Family! 


I will only be available for a limited number of sessions per month – evening sessions will be available as the warmer weather embraces us.  During the summer, early morning photography sessions along with evening photography sessions are beautiful with the early and evening soft light. 


My photography sessions will be on location – with the exception of newborn photography, if you do not have a well lit area in your home I have space available for photographing newborns & children up to the age of 1 yr (max) indoors – all other sessions must be outdoors or within your own home – which brings out the true “style” in Lifestyle Photography! 


A limited number of winter photography sessions are available, however I am more than happy to wait until spring for some sunshine and green grass ;) I am always available for maternity and newborn sessions – just drop me a line to advise of your due date. It is best to photograph maternity photos during the last 5 weeks of your pregnancy. Please do not leave booking your maternity session until the end of your pregnancy – just.in.case!
