Getting what you pay for with your photos!
I had to LOL when I read this on the photography forum that I belong to… “How to Undermine Your Child’s Portrait Session” was posted by “Stacie” she is a great photographer! I read through this and sure its “brutal honesty” but its the truth… not only with photographing other peoples children but also your own! This is something I have learned with my own kids – if you notice in the photo of my lil lady she is VERY done lol.
These points are also something that has helped me and my growth in photography by photographing my own kids – its ALL so true! So here’s a shout out to Stacie – http://www.stacieturnerphotography.com/blog/2010/10/how-to-undermine-your-childs-portrait-session/ you can read her post here
My little man || Mount Forest Momtog
I will go ahead and call this the “momtog” shot. I love it. I couldn’t have planned it better. Ha. Because with my kids you can’t really plan, its a last minute pop into my head and say “heeeeey kids… wouldn’t this be FUN!” haha and its really beginning to work… OR
Or. its because my kids also enjoy looking back at our family photos and saying “hey mom thats when we … ” that is the most amazing feeling in the world!
My little lady || Mount Forest Photographer
This really should be titled “momtog” because this is one of my, true “momtog” shots. We’re all hanging out and the kids are playing having a blast!
When I say I want to capture you and your memories… I want them to actually BE memories. I want it to be an outing and a time you share that creates a memory for you to treasure in these photographs!
Family Love || Mount Forest Family Photographer
This is another photo from tonight that I cherish!
When I say I want to capture you… I want to capture YOU!
Who you truly are, as you interact with one another, I want you to look back on these images and think … “wow I remember when… “
Those "real" family moments || Mount Forest Photography
This is one of those “real” family moments where I said to our kids and neices “ok guys go sit on the couch and I’ll take your picture” … whats more real than this! Some sisterly love in the middle with my two little monkeys on the eds :)
I cherish this photo and will always remember when I look at it that we were celebrating my amazing dad’s birthday! Love you Dad and Happy Birthday!!!
Skating Lessons || Mount Forest Mama Photographer
My little girl out in her skating lessons. These are the moments I treasure capturing, these are truly their life!
This is what brought me to photography.
This is the feeling I want to create for you!
Lifestyle photography, for all the “other” moments :)

Ladies in the snow || Mount Forest
Our little lady and her cousin in the snow. They actually stopped for a few seconds so I could grab this. lol of course not perfect eye contact or even them doing anything but I still love it. Because I love them :) All the kiddos were excited to see the snow. The parents were even more excited to see it go ;)
Check back tonight to see my babes on the ice in their Halloween Costumes! Im just as excited I think hehe. Even though I spent all day at the computer yesterday editing, when it comes to my kids I will capture everything and anything they do and would want to look back on to remember <3 love them!!!
Snow Fun || Mount Forest
We awoke last Friday to a blanket of snow. The trees were gorgeous (see my post from Friday) the kids were VERY excited :) So I took the camera to the bus stop. Yes I have to document everything I can that has to do with our kids, afterall they are what got me into photography to bring me where I am today. Here is the little man and his little buddy D… enjoying the snow!
