To A.I. or Not To A.I.

As a photographer I have my own strong opinions of A.I. with photography – its not something that should be pushed, it removes creativity from the image entirely.

My original image was used in both – one however was created with the quote in Gemini by A.I. and one was created in Canva by me.

Based on the image alone – not the font – which one is the AI version and which one was the one created by me? I found it interesting when I compared the two. Same image input into Gemini and Canva. I asked Gemini to add the quote and it did. I added the quote myself on Gemini.

The words of the quote, will always ring true <3

Do you see the difference of the images… can you see where AI butchered the image by compressing it over and over – kind of like if you continually edit a jpg over and over again.

AI is not something that should ever replace a photographers eye, even when manipulating images to add quotes to them, if the original image isn’t kept intact, what is the point?

At least as a photographer this is my view of things, merely going to an app for creation, removes creativity and we need creativity in our lives – daily!
