Day 3 – Sat Sept 26, 2026 – Twin Peaks Trail
For our walk today, I went light and with options. I brought my Canon R7 with my 24-240mm for extra reach and my R6MII with my 15-30mm wide lens – which I am beginning to really love! Lighter was key while I am healing my right knee with a torn acl.
My soul feels so calm within nature, especially with my camera and the sunshine pours in through the trees!
After our walk, that evening we walked down to the little beach near our site. So very peaceful.
There’s something about the waters edge, my soul feels such peace.
One of my favourite photos from the waters edge, with the water, rocks and driftwood.
The park streets are so beautiful, we were lucky to have this site so close to the water, close but not on the water – it was cool in the evenings right on the water, in the summer Im sure it would be heavenly! I am also guessing much busier, so this was a perfect time for us to be there to enjoy the tranquility!
Sunbursts above our site – incredible!
This evening, we went to Sunset Rock – it was phenomenal! We got there early and found a spot near the edge, with the perfect view, as the sun finally set, we stood up and realized how many people were behind us.
Such beautiful beaches within Killbear Provincial Park.
Love this expansive beach and sun shot!
The leaning tree in Killbear at Sunset Rock
The sunbeams coming directly at me, true peace!
As the sun sets on the 3rd day…
I am loving having both a full frame and crop sensor cameras, the versatility is outstanding, this sunset shot is from my R7 and 24-240mm lens.
Such beauty within our country, I am grateful for the gorgeous views, my nervous system feels such peace and tranquility. Especially with my camera(s) in hand.
For the photog’s, I am very impressed with the way the RF 15-30mm STM performed on my Canon R6MII and how the RF 24-240mm USM on my R7, a dream Ive had, an itch that needed scratched, I am grateful this year, for this trip, that dream, the itch, was scratched <3 For me, and for the support from my husband.
I continue debating between also grabbing the RF100-400mm lens for travel, I did bring my EF 100-400 f4.5-6.3L with us, its far too heavy for my liking to walk with it ;)
