Patti introduces this weeks challenge – Exploring Geometry in Architecture, Nature, and Daily Life. She has some beautiful examples, especially in architecture, however my favourite images are her nature ones. This is where I am pulling my inspiration from.
This morning I took a walk, a walk Ive been planning in my mind for a while. As I was in the shower this morning, the song Kingdom of fear began playing… I was instantly reminded of how I was sinking back in fear. My walk plan, I wanted to go to the one local park where birds are, to see what I could find still on the water on the Saugeen River the beginning of November. With my dog. Why did this begin to ignite the fear. We haven’t been walking regularly – although I do want to. Healing deep from various angles in my life and I knew I wanted to go for a walk, with my large dog and my camera with my biggest lens.
It went wonderful. Even with his new leash that didn’t have a waist connection. We worked on him sitting and waiting for me to take the photos I saw the create. He began to understand my rhythm and was a good boy, I was truly grateful! This is what I saw when we got this pup, our last dog grew up with our kids, this dog, our kids were late teens when we got him, I knew he could be my/our adventure buddy. I will hear the song, Kingdom of Fear and embrace the trust that I will regain in my life, along with strength, both mentally and physically <3
The beauty of geometry in nature…
The roundness of the water droplets on the leaf.
The path, when I looked down and saw the light at the end, such a beautiful representation of life as well, sometimes it can feel and seem so dark, but when we get to the other side, we can see the journey wasn’t the worst, even when forced to grow through it. Creating a soft rounded opening in the trees.
Nature provides the best examples of all shapes, even down to the spider webs and the various shapes they create. Triangles, rectangles, squares, even the tiny droplets on the branches.
The round berries on the long branches and rain drops on some of them.
I feel some of these images could also be for the Surviving November series – such a dark dreary day, the light at the end of the tunnel… I will share some other images from our walk today for my daily posts this week.
Hope you enjoyed my share for this weeks Lens-Artists Challenge – Geometry in Nature. I truly look forward to these challenges each week, especially as we are entering the winter months – these challenges feed my creativity when its dark and dreary outside!

Pamela, I love the subtle hints of water droplets you captured and your attention to the details of nature’s patterns. Lovely gallery.
