As many of you know I have PCOS. I was diagnosed at 23… left with very little answers, especially after my reproductive enchronologist retired only 6 months later. Emotional support is HUGE and unfortunately for many women it’s overlooked and the first go-to is drugs.

My body rejected alot of various drugs they “tried” with me. It’s now been 5 years since I had my hysterectomy and 2.5 years since finding doTERRA. I am so unbelievably thankful I made both of these decisions for my body based on my own research and findings and put a stop to trying this and that which left me feeling more uncomfortable than I was in the beginning!

For anyone out there with PCOS, there is help! More importantly there is affordable help that will not only support your body naturally but in more ways than just physical. I wasn’t looking for a quick fix or something to just make me loose weight. I was looking for true support and something naturally life changing.

Why did I choose doTERRA? What I’ve learned is, it’s SO important to reduce and remove toxins from your life. I could be drinking all the shakes in the world and only eating vegetables, however if I am still using products filled with chemicals and toxins in my home and on my body, my PCOS and Hypothyroidism is still at risk! These chemicals and toxins are hormone disruptors and for those of us with PCOS or Hypothyroidism this is incredibly harmful to us!

Many of you have heard me talk about using essential oils for “everything”, it’s because we do. Cleaning is one of the biggest ways. Using a diffuser to naturally scent and cleanse the air. Washing our dishes that we eat off, cleaning our counters, soap in the bathroom for our bodies, shampoo and conditioner for our hair. Every single thing we put on our bodies, goes IN our bodies.

So although I would love to drop a few pounds, personally for me with PCOS and Hypothyroidism this has been the most important lifestyle change I’ve made that’s made the biggest impact! Everyday isn’t perfect, that’s life, however everyday is alot more comfortable, enjoyable and healthier these past 2.5 years :)

Relaxed Inspired Mind Diffuser Blend

Last night I had the most uniquely beautiful diffuser blend and had the most glorious sleep! After such an inspiring holiday party and team training I am so grateful to share this with you.

3 drops of Melissa

I let one of my fav apps, Essential oil plant spirit cards select the oils with the help of emotions and Essential Oils to share their emotional and spiritual meanings.

The light at the end of the tunnel

Anyone who has lived through home renovations will know exactly how this feels… to finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel! To say Ive been thankful for my essential oils and Reiki during this time, would quite honestly be an understatement ;)

Its been a busy year of basement reno’s for us and after the unexpected being thrown at us in the first 3 rooms… we took the majority of the summer off to enjoy family time at our family cottage. Back at it this fall with the bathroom reno complete and now the biggest portion being tackled … the rec room!

Good news… I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Still with a lot more work to do – but its all finally falling into place and we are already in absolute love with what we are envisioning and giving us the motivation to keep going!

When I was out on my photo walk on our last summer weekend at the cottage, I literally walked upon this view. It hit me hard, in my heart and soul. When our basement is completely done, this photo is going to be hung HUGE as a reminder of our journey and through all the blood, sweat and tears just how much it was worth to our family in our forever home! <3

DIY Dishwasher Detergent with doTERRA Essential Oils

Im loving creating these DIY recipes with my doTERRA Essential Oils! Extremely cost effective and this recipe is very powerful! We have been using this recipe in our dishwasher for the past month and are extremely happy with the results!

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

Ingredients:

2 cups Baking soda (great all-purpose cleaner)
2 cups Borax (natural cleaner and disinfectant)
1/2 cup Kosher salt or Epsom salt (softens the water)
1/2 cup vinegar (added cleaning power, liquid to help bind the ingredients)
15-20 drops of Lemon essential oil (added cleaning power, antibacterial properties, smells great!)

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together until well blended.

To Use:

Fill the soap dispenser with approx. ¼ cup of the powdered mixture and add a squirt of On Guard Cleaner Concentrate to boost the cleaning power. Add approx. ½ cup of vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher with each load. Add more vinegar if you do not have a water softener.

Due to unexpected harvesting issues, Melissa and Roman Chamomile are temporarily unavailable for individual sales as of July 1, 2015. As essential oils are derived from botanical materials that are delicate and at times subject to unforeseen and uncontrollable conditions impacting harvests, availability of supply meeting our CPTG standards can be negatively impacted despite our best efforts to mitigate such circumstances.

Rather than release an inferior product which does not match their standards… they waited! Truly admirable!

If your LRP is set to run December 1st be sure to change it to the 2nd or 3rd so you can properly edit your cart to include one or both of these oils!

Roman Chamomile grows close to the ground, reaching only up to a foot in height. It has gray-green leaves, flowers that resemble a daisy, and smells like apple. The plant has been nicknamed the “plant’s physician” because it has positive effects on plants growing nearby. Ancient Romans used the oil for courage during war. While the most common use of chamomile is in teas, Roman Chamomile can also be found in face creams, drinks, hair dyes, shampoos, and perfumes. Melissa officinalis, also known as lemon balm, received the name “Melissa” because of its sweet, fresh, citrus-like fragrance, which was known to attract bees (Melissa is Greek for “honey bee”). As one of our rarest and most expensive oils, Melissa has a wide range of health benefits and uses.* Melissa is used as a flavor in teas and ice cream as well as with some fish dishes. Because of its positive effect on mood, Melissa has long been used to calm feelings of tension and nervousness. Diffusing Melissa at night can help initiate a restful sleep environment and promote emotional well-being. Melissa may also help to support a healthy immune system.*
