Our son began stock car racing late this summer. Its been a beautiful re-introduction and also learning experience – for all of us. This photo was from the other night. An unexpected tiny part broke and finding a replacement meant waiting, calmly in trust that it would come together.
Even with making incredible attempts, ultimately it meant waiting until another racer arrived who had the exact o-ring, for them to get the car running… 3 min after the green flag dropped!
Although blurry, I love this photo I captured, my husband, son and our son’s good friends.
He wasn’t able to run the race, as their rule is if you do not take the green, you cannot start the race on a caution. It does make sense, but also sucks.
Sometimes life lessons in trust and patience, can come in interesting ways. Including some incredible creative inspiration. Funny how life can come full circle. When I was pregnant, I was at the track alot, including many years of our young children’s childhood.
