This was the longest trail in the park, I shared a picture of the map of Killbear Provincial Park HERE.
I began my day, down at the little beach at sunrise. I had honestly thought I missed it, and then it appeared – which was mesmerizing! The view from the road down to the beach area.
I wasn’t sure if the sky was going to be filled with a big bright sunrise, and then…
and then… it happened, the most beautiful and perfect alignment, the beautiful reward for patience and trusting, that I was there for something…
Such immense beauty. Right place, right time. A beautiful nervous system reset to start the day.
Me in all my morning glory. I shot the sunrise photos with my Canon R6MII + 15-30mm STM lens. Its a fantastic light little lens that on this trip, really began to show its true beauty. Amazing how much wider the image is at 15mm vs some of my other lenses at 24mm and 28mm!
I brought both cameras with me, I also had my Canon R7 and 24-240mm lens.
Not everyone will understand this, but this image for me, knowing these camera’s in my hands have created the images within my blog and our home, our life… a dream come true for me, for my creative heart to be fully immersed and expressed.
Be proud to want something that sets your soul on fire, in the best, most passionate way as possible, lean into those desires, they wont make sense to everyone – it will to you. Regardless of anyone else, let your dreams be free and fully embrace them!
The beginning of Lookout Point Trail, spoiler, it IS much longer than the others ;)
Although it was longer, it was a gentle walk, much of the path was over swamp so there was a lot of boardwalk.
As we were heading back to our section of the park, we drove past a lower swampy area, that I admired on our way into the park a few days earlier. Somewhere I knew I wanted to return to for photos. As we were driving, our friend commented on a blue heron in this area, her husband then pulled over so I could jump out and get some photos of the beautiful bird!
Love the wide angle shots!
I could have just sat and watched him, and whatever he was watching in nature!
Back down at the beach near our site, it was a favourite for us!
Back at our site again, we had a chipmunk visitor get friendly, he hung out with us for a while.
He found a big leaf, I wasn’t sure what he was doing with it, so we watched.
He ate it! Or shoved it in his mouth ;)
He was adorable!
The sunset sky at the little beach near our site, its not like sunset rock, alas its beautiful!
The full moon over the water – so beautiful. I am still practicing with night photography.
