Lens-Artists Challenge #411 | What Is It?

This is an intriguing challenge to me and one that I was excited to see. Its my birthday today and I am excited to share some of my favourite abstract images for the challenge that Sophia introduced to us. She shared a beautiful collection, personally I really like the first two! If you would like to participate in the challenge be sure to check out her post for examples of images.

I took this photo the other night, at our family cottage, there are certain views that are embedded into my mind and memory and many of those I also like to capture with my camera. Focus fell on this and it created this abstract type image – that I love!

I had to look at the date to figure out what this image was… and then it quickly came back. Last Christmas, the lights on our tree I was taking photos and suddenly focus was gone. This has happened a lot more to me since my brother passed in Nov 2024… especially when taking photos of our family <3

Many of you may see this and guess Nature, you are right. I was taking pictures of tree branches and lost focus and love the result!

Many may recognize this as pine needles of a pine tree. We have a few smaller ones on the property and a few weeks ago this stood out to me as an image to take, but one that had me puzzled of how or where to share it.

Water droplets on the grass, I love how memorizing this image is!

Moss, but on what? This is on an older tree at our family cottage, it caught my eye a couple weeks ago and I am loving the depth and colours of this image!

The image below, can you guess what it is? I remember standing looking at the water and seeing the weeds, I knew this image would be useful one day! The bottom of the Port Elgin Harbour!

For my last image, this was also a couple weeks ago at the beach, what is it? I have no clue honestly ;)

Thank you Sofia for a great challenge to open our creative minds!

One more I have to add in,

A blurry snap from our son’s first race last night… What is it? Its a street stock. Our family has racing in its blood, my husband, cousin, brother and now son… it was a thrilling night!
