DIY Dishwasher Detergent with doTERRA Essential Oils

Im loving creating these DIY recipes with my doTERRA Essential Oils! Extremely cost effective and this recipe is very powerful! We have been using this recipe in our dishwasher for the past month and are extremely happy with the results!

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

Ingredients:

2 cups Baking soda (great all-purpose cleaner)
2 cups Borax (natural cleaner and disinfectant)
1/2 cup Kosher salt or Epsom salt (softens the water)
1/2 cup vinegar (added cleaning power, liquid to help bind the ingredients)
15-20 drops of Lemon essential oil (added cleaning power, antibacterial properties, smells great!)

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together until well blended.

To Use:

Fill the soap dispenser with approx. ¼ cup of the powdered mixture and add a squirt of On Guard Cleaner Concentrate to boost the cleaning power. Add approx. ½ cup of vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher with each load. Add more vinegar if you do not have a water softener.

As essential oils are derived from botanical materials that are delicate and at times subject to unforeseen and uncontrollable conditions impacting harvests, availability of supply meeting our CPTG standards can be negatively impacted despite our best efforts to mitigate such circumstances.

Rather than release an inferior product which does not match their standards… they waited! Truly admirable!

If your LRP is set to run December 1st be sure to change it to the 2nd or 3rd so you can properly edit your cart to include one or both of these oils!

Roman Chamomile grows close to the ground, reaching only up to a foot in height. It has gray-green leaves, flowers that resemble a daisy, and smells like apple. Melissa officinalis, also known as lemon balm, received the name “Melissa” because of its sweet, fresh, citrus-like fragrance, which was known to attract bees (Melissa is Greek for “honey bee”). Because of its positive effect on mood, Melissa has long been used to calm feelings of tension and nervousness. DIY Essential Oil Bath Bombs

I am loving all the super easy DIY we can do at home that are great for our bodies and also so affordable!

Being a busy mom I have things in my life which are higher priority than others. In the past I would rather pay for something of higher quality vs doing or making it myself, especially if it’s something new to me. I admit it’s taken me over 2 years to really dive in with essential oils DIY. .. until now!

What an amazing way to use these top quality essential oils in even more ways around our home! I am SO excited to share this recipe and I may be even more excited to share he next one!!! Stay tuned for the next one ;)

This afternoon my boy and I made bath bombs! Super easy, very affordable and leaves your skin so soft!

We used the doTERRA Fizzing Bath Bombs Recipe see the directions below from doTERRA !

Ingredients:

1 cup citric acid

1 cup baking soda

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil

8-10 drops favorite essential oil or blend

Silicone mold

Note: Citric acid can be found at most major supermarkets in the canning section.

Tip: You could also use almond oil or olive oil in the place of doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Directions:

In bowl, place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, and oil.

Add 8-10 drops of the essential oil or essential oil blend of your choice.

Mix well with spoon until soft dough is formed. It should have the consistency of damp sand.If the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornstarch until consistency is correct.

At this point, you may add food coloring, dried herbs, or flower petals to mixture.

Place mixture in silicone molds. Let sit 24 hours before removing from mold.

To use, drop in tub or shower and allow to dissolve.

Note: Choose an essential oil to best suit your needs. For relaxation, try Lavender or Serenity®. For a mood boost, try Wild Orange, Citrus Bliss®, or Peppermint.
