DIY Essential Oil Bath Bombs

I am loving all the super easy DIY we can do at home that are great for our bodies and also so affordable!

Being a busy mom I have things in my life which are higher priority than others. In the past I would rather pay for something of higher quality vs doing or making it myself, especially if it’s something new to me. I admit it’s taken me over 2 years to really dive in with essential oils DIY. .. until now!

What an amazing way to use these top quality essential oils in even more ways around our home! I am SO excited to share this recipe and I may be even more excited to share he next one!!! Stay tuned for the next one ;)

This afternoon my boy and I made bath bombs! Super easy, very affordable and leaves your skin so soft!

We used the doTERRA Fizzing Bath Bombs Recipe see the directions below from doTERRA !

Ingredients:

1 cup citric acid

1 cup baking soda

½ cup cornstarch

½ cup doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil

8-10 drops favorite essential oil or blend

Silicone mold

Note: Citric acid can be found at most major supermarkets in the canning section.

Tip: You could also use almond oil or olive oil in the place of doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Directions:

In bowl, place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, and oil.

Add 8-10 drops of the essential oil or essential oil blend of your choice.

Mix well with spoon until soft dough is formed. It should have the consistency of damp sand.If the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornstarch until consistency is correct.

At this point, you may add food coloring, dried herbs, or flower petals to mixture.

Place mixture in silicone molds. Let sit 24 hours before removing from mold.

To use, drop in tub or shower and allow to dissolve.

Note: Choose an essential oil to best suit your needs. For relaxation, try Lavender or Serenity®. For a mood boost, try Wild Orange, Citrus Bliss®, or Peppermint.

As the kids are getting older and I am feeling much more healthier and energetic, I am now making my own personal development much more of a priority than ever before!

This past weekend I received my doTERRA AromaTouch Training which was absolutely amazing. This technique uses 8 of our essential oils in a systematic way along with hand movements along the back and feet to provide an individual with a powerful essential oil experience to assist the body in healthy stress management, immune support, healthy inflammatory response and homeostasis. Upon completing the required AromaTouch Technique’s I will receive my certification which I am so grateful to add to my doTERRA business and my life!

The AromaTouch Technique is a simple yet powerful way to provide every individual with an essential oil experience.

Energy, feelings and the universe is something which also goes hand in hand with my doTERRA life and is something Ive always been facinated about ! Even when I was younger I remember how excited I would get to read my horoscope – especially if it was at the end of the day or week and what my horoscope said was true!

Last night I began my next journey in my personal development in becoming Reiki Certified! Its hard for me to even begin to describe just how excited I am for this, the experience last night with our first meditation in class and our attunement which is to come next week! Truly an investment in myself to not only better myself but also provide another benefit to ‘Your Life As Art Essentials’! I have been intrigued to learn about using my essential oils to help balance out the body’s natural energy and chakra’s and am thrilled to learn how to put this into practice in my own life over the upcoming weeks!

Blessings & Gratitude | Happy Thanksgiving 2016

This Thanksgiving, much like all others, I love taking some time alone to reflect on the past year and get out with my camera and enjoy the beautiful community we are so blessed to live in!

I shared a personal story on Facebook this weekend and I am also going to share it here in my Thanksgiving blog because it is something that completely warmed my heart and filled it with gratitude and thanks.

One early morning earlier this week I asked my lil man to start the diffuser- his choice. After getting ready for work and joining him again in the kitchen I asked which oils he put in… he said “Just one mommy, it’s right there”. At first I was slightly confused, Helichrysum isn’t one I would normally put in our diffuser… which is why I grabbed my Essential Oils and Emotions Book.

As you can see by my photo, the positive emotional properties of Helichrysum are: healed, courageous, hopeful, transformation, perseverance and determination!

My eyes filled with tears.

The night before we received a phone call from our boys teacher. We weren’t home so it went to our answering machine. As my hubby and I listened to the message I began to cry, full out massive tears, cry as I listened to her rave about how amazing he is doing in class and how he’s staying on task and getting his work complete and it’s been a pleasure to have him in her class.

Our boy has had his fair share of hurdles at school, including being bullied himself and completely pulling back and interalizing the pain he was feeling emotionally and physically, resulting in an angry side of our boy we had never seen before.

I will never forget the moment he finally broke free and told me, it was actually a few months after we began our journey with @doterra.

I’ve known in my heart and soul that my choice back in June 2014 was the right one for our family, for our health emotionally and physically. I knew there was an option for us that was all natural and would ‘work’.

This phone call touched me so deep. Almost validating my choices for my family that I had made the right decision and it truly is making a difference, not just in my own life, but also everyone in my family!

He told me, by choosing this single oil for our diffuser that next morning. We’ve taught the kids to follow their intuition, to go with where they are guided and trust it – this is how he chose Helichrysum. Just simply reaching into our oil box and selecting a random oil. It’s not a coincidence. This boy of ours has been so courageous, determined, hopeful and emotionally healed <3. I am proud to be his mom!

So on this thanksgiving weekend my heart is filled with so much gratitude and blessings.

How thankful am I… well Im very thankful for my family, that we have a beautiful home to live in, good food to eat, amazing family and friends to spend time with, wonderful jobs to provide us financial blessings through life. I am also very thankful for doTERRA as I am now much more thankful for my health than I ever have been!

Today I am also thankful for reaching an amazing milestone of 800 fans on my page! I am absolutely honored, thankful and filled with gratitude! This journey of mine through doTERRA was one I literally walked blind into and has become such an incredible blessing in our lives.
